The Brief History of the Internet and Web Browsers? 

The internet is a network that connects computers globally.  The concept was created during the cold war by the Department of Defense in the United States in the event of being attacked.
ARPANET began as a four-way network between UCLA, Stanford, UCSB, Utah Salt Lake City.  The internet was first demonstrated to the public in 1972, by Bob Kahn.  Tim
Berners-Lee together with Robert Cailliau were the of the modern web browser we conceived the model of World Wide Web in 1990 at CERN.  “Sir Tim has promoted open government
data globally and has spent time fighting for rights such as net neutrality, privacy and openness of the web” (Berners-Lee, 2017, para. 8).

Methods of Communication:

Ø  Social Networking:  Social networking is a platform in which you can share information, pictures or videos with family, friends or co-workers.  Some examples of social networks are Facebook, Linkedin, and Pinterest.
Ø  Email:  Email is an electronic message sent and received through the internet.  Through attaching files you can send pictures, documents, and programs.  “Language used in emails is simple and informal” (NA, 2017, para. 4).
Ø  Wiki and Blogs:  Wikis are ongoing web communities that can have information updated or deleted such as Wikipedia.  Blogs are a collection of a persons or business, ideas, life experiences, and intentions.  You are currently read my blog, which I thank you.
Ø  Podcasts and Webcasts: A podcast is a digital media broadcasted in audio or video format.  Podcasts can vary in information from cooking to history here is a list of popular podcasts. Stitcher top podcasts.  Webcast is a video show that can be done live through the creators web site or through YouTube.
Ø  Streaming Media:  Streaming media is a platform in which television shows, movies, audio, and audio books are all provided without the need to download any files.  A popular streaming site for movies and television are Netflix, and a great music streaming site is Apple Music.

E-Commerce and M-Commerce:  


E-Commerce is the buying and selling of goods online.  Today it is very common for people to purchase things online due to its safety and convenience.  Customers should still do their due diligence when buying items online, make sure it is a reputable website.  An easy way to know if a website is legit or not is check its reviews from other customers or if in doubt you can check the website out through the Better Business Bureau.  M-commerce is relatively new and it is the idea that you can do all your shopping needs mobility through your phone.  Business Insider reckons M-commerce to “burst into the mainstream thanks to a host of technological advances that are making it easier for people to shop on their phones” (Meola, 2016, para. 4).
